How to use printable greetings cards

I’ve noticed lately that greetings cards have become rather expensive.

This is one of the reasons that I have started to design my own and have created quite a few for my Etsy shop.

The upside of buying printable greetings cards is that even when you have sent one to a loved one, you can print another one and send it to someone else too.

Once you save the printable file, it is yours to print and send as many times as you want to.

How to use the printable greetings cards

  • The first thing that you need to do after you have purchased the digital card is to check your email address that you have provided. The email will contain the PDF file for the greetings card, which you will need to save either onto your PC or mobile phone. (I save mine on a thumb drive).

  • Once you have saved your file, you can now open it and print it. You will want to print it on card stock. Also remember to check your printer settings to ensure it is the right size and orientation.

  • When printing is complete you will see an instruction border around the edge of the design. It simply says to cut along the dotted lines and fold in half. See image below.

  • All you have to do now is to write your own message inside and send it. Please note that you will need to have an envelope as this is not included in the PDF.

  • I like to make my own envelopes. You can google “Free envelope templates quite easily.”
