What does gratitude mean?

According to Wikipedia:

Gratitude, thankfulness, or gratefulness is a feeling of appreciation by a recipient of another's kindness. This kindness can be gifts, help, favours, or another form of generosity to another person”

It doesn't have to relate to another person though. You can be grateful for a feeling or the objects in your life like the kettle giving you the hot water for your morning coffee, your car for driving you to the all-night garage when you have run out of milk or for just being happy being you.

When you start to practice gratitude daily, you will notice improvements in your mental health and your overall positivity to the world around you. But finding what to say when you sit down to write for the first time can be frustrating (which defeats the object really). Below are 30 prompts that will keep you going until you form the habit. I bet that you won't need prompts after 30 days. Give it a try.
